What AI cannot do

Hi doston,

Creatives have spent decades working on their craft.

The 10000 hours of labour.

This is our life’s work.

To develop taste, to develop discernment.

Creation is what comes out by surrendering to sacred work. The work that comes from intuitive intelligence.

Unfortunately, it’s too late to fight against the Gen AI beast.

We can’t undo time. We can only adapt to it.

Instead of thinking what AI can do, think of what it can’t do. Move your career path as a creative in the following direction(s):

  1. Experiences: You still want to experience a Coldplay concert in person, go to mystery rooms, visit museums. As a generation, we are moving away from owning things to spending on experiences. Lived experiences become a sacred currency.
  2. Communities: Humans have a deep desire to be seen, heard and understood. Be a part of communities where people are experiencing similar journeys: think upskilling together, meeting new people in an idli walk.
  3. Spirituality: We are witnessing a mass-produced existential crisis. Who am I? Am I even relevant? Join movements that celebrate our human-ness. Everything is purposeful and meaningless at the same time.

There is no point in competing with machines.

Instead, do what makes you more human.

until next time, be kind to yourself.

Love,

Vipasha

Let me break the romance of going rogue...

Hello there! If you've seen me on socials, I recently did a talk on 'How to Build An Authentic Network'. Here is a step-by-step breakdown of how I prepared the talk. The team from Salesforce Design Days had reached out to me to do a talk at their event. It was a blank canvas. Talk on Authenticity at Salesforce Design Days Audience Composition When the team reached out, we did a detailed lowdown of the design of the event as well as the audience. They were deeply respectful of my craft and...

Hi friend, Hope it's been a creative week for you! 🍃 I did three storytelling/creativity workshops this week and articulating some of the takeaways that most resonated with the audience. 1. Stories are about taking the audience from their world into your world. The more vividly you can take your audience with you on the journey, the more effective the story is. The neuroscience of storytelling: the brain undergoes neurocoupling and the neurons get mirrored when you tell a great story. It...
